The Warriors and Timberwolves are headed overseas.
Golden State and Minnesota have been slated to play a pair of preseason games in China as part of the NBA Global Games China 2017, the NBA announced Monday.
The teams are scheduled to tip off in Shenzhen on Oct. 5 and again in Shanghai on Oct. 8.
The trip will be the third for the Warriors after the team visited in 2008 to play the Bucks and 2013 to play the Lakers.
"I have visited China every year since 2013, and the fans there are incredibly supportive of me, the Warriors and the NBA," Warriors guard Stephen Curry said. "I’m excited about the opportunity to return to China, enjoy the country’s culture, and bring the excitement of live NBA games game directly to Chinese fans."
The Timberwolves, on the other hand, will be playing in China for the first time.
"It is a great privilege for me and my teammates to play in China for the first time in our franchise’s history," Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns said. "When I visited last summer, I was amazed at the passion that Chinese fans have for the game of basketball. Traveling to China with my teammates and coaches will be a fantastic experience."
