Game 2 between the Celtics and Cavaliers will take place Friday night, and a certain Boston rookie may have just added fuel to LeBron James' fire.
Speaking before the game, Celtics rookie small forward Jaylen Brown made some controversial comments regarding James. Comments that may catch the MVP candidate's attention.
"I mean LeBron's a good player, but I look at him as just a regular guy to me," Brown said. "I have to come out and compete just like he has to come out and compete. I have to tie my shoes just like he ties his shoes. There's bigger threats in my neighborhood than LeBron James, so I have no fear of LeBron."
Cleveland won the series opener 117-104 on the road after James scored 38 points with nine rebounds and seven assists. The Celtics tried to stop James with multiple defenders, but the four-time MVP man-handled all of them.
Brown had a nice game off the bench in Game 1, scoring 10 points with nine rebounds in 20 minutes of action. But he may have to learn the hard way Friday night that it's better to just keep quiet about other teams' star players.
